| The most hospitable festival in the world, XIII Rassegna Musicale di Canto Sacro is over |
|
All of members of the Quintet have arrived home. They are happy and delighted. The timetable of the festival was very tough. Quintet gave six performances during five days and then took part in planned joint performance of Catholic Mass. The concerts took place in Olbia city and other 2 Sardinian towns: Monti and Arzachena.
However, music program was not reduced to planned concerts. Someone could hear the songs at any time at any place. Each group or choir had been demonstrating their skills with pleasure. The organizers of the festival, residents of Olbia, were pleased to reveal their outstanding folk music tradition to the guests. All of participants had their favorite songs of Sardinia at the end of the festival. Both organizers and guests had been performing these songs together.
We would like to give our sincere thanks to organizers of the festival: firstly to President of the XIII Rassegna Musicale di Canto Sacro, Dr. Mario Sardo for invitation and kind assistance in obtaining visas; then to Mr. Nicolino Alessio and Mr. Paolo Di Paola for their excellent work and complete mutual understanding. We would be also very pleased to thank our benefactors: The Foundation for Promotion of Arts Development and its President Mr. Yurii Krulikovskyi, The Embassy of Ukraine in Italy and the Head Ambassador Mr. Georgii Cherniavskyi. Today, at 00.10 a.m., "Ukrania" Ladies' Vocal Quintet took part in concert that's dedicated to 19th anniversary of catastrophe on the Chornobyl nuclear power station. The concert took place in the town of Chornobyl on the territory of 8th fire-brigade. After the concert ladies took part in church service in memory of lost participants in liquidation of the Chornobyl disaster. Church service took place in Chornobyl Orthodox church.
Another concert that's dedicated to 19th anniversary of catastrophe on the Chornobyl nuclear power station takes place at 19.00 in The National House Of Organ And Chamber Music (Saint Nicholas Roman-Catholic church), Kyiv. |
